Cabin in the woods

Cabin in the woods

Hiding in the trees

Showing old age while trees watch the decay

A well only for leaves to make wishes

The siding distinctive of life that once was

With windows holding memories of someone watching the time

If only the walls could be pages of the novel that never was written

Sharing of what was , laughs and tears and hopes

Asking why here? What was the dream?

All the work landscaping the rock walls

The forest with the last laugh now

At the chimney that once ruled them

The door now off the hinges greeting who ever enters

In a corner sets a chair inviting to a weary spirit

Lonely place , how many years it has must have been

Smelling time in the solace of gentle breeze

Through the roof that has seen many elements

Now the sun is the only one who rests there

Thinking for moment what was the last thing said here in

Cabin in the woods
