Leaf like life

Looking at the branches seeing the buds

Leaves waiting to open and see the season

Born to an unknown future not caring

Waiting to feel the sun and breathe the air

Seeing everything new and old

Looking down on previous past

Ground with ancestry from previous season

Still not giving up for it instinctually knows what part it plays

Can’t live without the branch and tree and vice versa

Doing its part unselfishly while enjoying unity

For it does know the end its insight by looking down

Just enjoying the elements life offers

In the end its life will be returned for future leaves to live

Comforting? Never talked with a leaf so hard to say

Do know it never thinks others is getting better treatment or deserve better

It does it part for others and the betterment of the whole tree
