Scars in the back
Scars in the
back
Many have
done this
To further
themselves
Invisible to
blind lie eyes
The shoulders
are stronger than others can imagine
A mettle
that only virtue comes from
Never see it
coming from their kindness hides their deception
These do hold
wisdom and a sorrow that they will never savor
To the gates
some things may not be forgiven
No matter
how many pennies hits the plate
Strength by
one infuriates that many
Like the oak
tree that endures nature’s wrath
Still stands
and leaves with dignity
Being bigger
means forgiveness that is granted
As the scars
heals iron solidifies the spirit
More will
come no doubt
And passive
will be the way
Scars in the
back
