Knocked around
Knocked around
Elder says
look for good in others
Their shoe
tread hurts on the face
Help others
while they forget about you
They have
bad days
Seems like
all year
Put trust in
them
Like a
dripping faucet the water runs
Played emotions
Less to
believe the miracles
Smile while
they eat the cake and lick the frosting
The golden
unto others
For they
have done already to you
No trial no
comedic justice
Steel
weakens diamonds shatter
Help others
who don’t return only look for more
A game that
seems unfair
A life that
rides the rough storm
The sun
rises and repeats like one in the mirror
Get ready
for life’s redoes
It’s not for
fun
Knocked
around
Well, that's a pretty sad poem, Scott. It sounds like it was written by someone who was or is suffering from depression. It is good to get emotions down on paper, good therapy. If this is written from your own personal perspective, I hope that one day I will read a more cheerful poem that you have written.
