TWAS THE NIGHT
BEFORE CHRISTMAS HOUSE CLEANING CLAUS
The house was
quiet. The walls creaked, and windows leaked. The furnace pops on battling to
keep a comfort balance. Still not a creature was stirring as the dust bunnies
gather. In the silence their meeting was loud, something stumbled on the roof it
seemed. A beep rang through the rooms a tired soul gathers the sound and
realizes must get wet clothes from washer to dryer. Something was odd, presents
under the tree rustled as the tired soul walked by the Christmas tree. Still in
the call of the clothes god the weary soul walked by. That was close the red
suited man thought as he placed a few more presents around the tree. A metal
screech of a door startled the red dressed one. He freezes and looks the dust
bunnies swirled to his bag. The red suited one gives a whisper I may have
something for you. “Oh really?” the weary soul asked in an unwelcoming way.
“Oops!” the suited one exclaimed. He snaps his fingers nothing happened. “I
just cleaned this area, now you are here throwing dust bunnies everywhere?” The
weary soul in no mood for this intrusion. “Those aren’t mine. They came running
to the bag. I leave you good things,” The suited one calmly speaks to the weary
one. “I see dust bunnies, unless you are the zombie master you better do
something now about them,” The weary one in a bit of an ire goes and gets a
hand vacuum. The red suited one wonders why he didn’t disappear when he snapped
his fingers. Growl, from behind him it came. He turns to see a big dog, he
turns to the end table with cookies and milk he reaches and turns to the dog.
“Cookie?” He asks politely as possible. He turns to face the weary one. He
comes face to face with the vacuum. The dust bunnies frozen and holding their
dust shaking their sort of heads not to choose the vacuum. “Deal?” The weary
soul asks in a demanding tone. The red suited one nods, the dust bunnies, tears
of dust didn’t last long. The weary did hear as the red suited one loudly said
as he took off from the roof “On dust bunnies, on clean laundry, Merry
Christmas to all and the weary one’s real wish.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
